All topics relevant to yachting are represented in the library.
The collection includes a broad range of international periodicals, as well as the annual and festive publications from yacht clubs around the world. The yacht registers, important for researching individual yachts, are almost complete, including Lloyds Register and Hunt's Register among others. Because the Robbe & Berking Yachting Heritage Centre has close ties to the Robbe & Berking Classics yacht building yard, information regarding yacht design, building, refitting and restoration make up a major part of the library. The history of yachting can also be thoroughly researched here. An extra section exists for regatta sport. There is a comprehensive inventory about America's Cup, but also for other famous regattas. For the practical side of sailing, the departments on seamanship and navigation offer answers to the most diverse questions regarding sailing. Anyone wishing to learn about the different types of ships and boat classes will find extensive literature, much of which is impressively illustrated.
In addition to its contemporary literature, the library is especially unique for its impressively large historical collection, offering an extraordinary volume of source material. The library's treasure trove are the 'Libri rari', the rare books. This collection lists many valuable books and bibliophile editions. Some are even the only copies in existence.
